Students currently enrolled at the College of Graduate and Professional Studies (CGPS) and CGPS Faculty and Staff should use ILLIAD to request books or articles from the Fredericksburg campus. Have a quick question? The CGPS Stafford Library now offers research assistance via the web using the chat/instant messaging service Meebo. A Meebo widget is accessible from CGPS Research Guides, our Ask A Librarian page, and other CGPS Library web pages and allows you to quickly and easily contact a member of the Library staff. career Services
Career Services is located in a cubicle behind the computer stations and along the windows at the CGPS Stafford Library. Books from this special collection cover topics such as resume writing, job interviews, and career advancement and may be checked out for the standard 35 day period. A Career Counselor is available in the Library on Tuesdays between 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm (when classes are in session) and by appointment. For The Public
The CGPS Stafford Library is open to the public. Members of the public are welcome to browse and use our collections within the library; those wishing to check out books must obtain a Guest Patron Card or may use the Interlibrary Loan services at their public or institution library to request items from our collections. The public may use library computers; printing and copying are available for $0.10 a page. Members of the public can also access over 100 online research databases from computers within the library; off-campus access to databases is restricted to UMW students, faculty and staff.
