Resources in the CGPS Stafford Library
ERIC Documents
Records found in the ERIC Database with ED #s that are not available online may be available in the CGPS Stafford Library. The Library owns selected ERIC documents on microfiche from 1966-1990 and a complete set from 1991-2003; please bring the ED # to the Circulation Desk for assistance. Records with EJ #s indicate articles published in journals - note the article's citation information and see our Guide to Finding Articles.
Research Project Archives
EDCI 589 and 590 Individual Research Projects are archived and available at the Circulation Desk for use within the Library. Projects are arranged by call number and are searchable by Title, Author and/or Subject in the UMW Libraries' Catalog (perform a Keyword Search and select "Stafford Arch" from the Location Filter menu).
Children's Literature Collection
A collection of fiction and nonfiction children's literature is located at the end of the Periodicals aisle and routinely displays winners of the Newbery, Caldecott, and Coretta Scott King Awards. If you are doing research on Children's Literature, please see our Children's Literature Research Guide.
In addition to the Children's Literature Collection, the CGPS Stafford Library has three titles in its Reference Collection that you might find useful:
- Cambridge Guide to Children's Books in English (Call # REF PR990.C36 2001)
- Dictionary of American Children's Fiction, 1995-199 (Call # REF PS374.C454 H45 2002)
- Essential Guide to Children's Books and Their Creators (Call # REF PS490.E85 2002)
