- AIDS.gov (U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, National Institutes of Health)
: launched the new Internet gateway to federal HIV/AIDS information. It will guide
users to information on prevention, testing, treatment and research
programs, and to federal HIV/AIDS policies and resources.
- Ben's Guide to U. S. Government for Kids : Created by the Government Printing Office, this well-designed site introduces children to how the government works. It covers the U. S. Constitution, how laws are made, the branches of government, and citizenship. The site is divided into sections aimed at age groups K-2, 3-5, 6-8, 9-12, with a separate section for parents and educators. It includes games and activities, has an email function for kids to ask questions of Ben Franklin (the first public librarian), and provides extensive links to other government related sites.
- Biographical Directory of the United States Congress: 1774-Present : Provides brief biographical information on past and current members of Congress.
- Department of State Foreign Affairs (DOSFAN) Electronic Research Collection: a digital library of
electronically archived information products produced by the U.S.
Department of State from 1990 through 1997, which includes the archived
Web sites of the U.S. Arms Control and Disarmament Agency (ACDA) and the
U.S. Information Agency (USIA).
- Energy Citations Database (1948-Present) : Includes bibliographic records of various disciplines such as chemistry, physics, materials, environmental science, geology, engineering, mathematics, climatology, oceanography, computer science, etc.
- Federal Information Center : Provides a telephone service for people with questions about Federal agencies and programs. Includes answers to many frequently asked questions about the Federal government. Its "Federal Directory" has links to websites in the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial branches. Also has "Federal Yellow Pages" and an "Applications/Forms" section. Searchable database covers more than 1,600,000 government documents.
- GeoData.gov (U.S. Dept. of Interior) : Provides one-stop access to maps, data and other services that will simplify the ability of federal, state, and local government and citizens to find geospatial data.

- Humanities & Social Sciences Index Retrospective: 1907-1984 : Indexes nearly 1,200 periodicals in the social sciences and humanities, providing citations to more than 1,300,000 articles. Covers topics in archaeology and classical studies, anthropology, folklore, history, gender studies, language and literature, economics, drama, political science, philosophy, international relations, music, sociology, journalism, psychology, religion, geography, and many other related subjects.
Coverage extends from 1907 through 1984.

- STARnet: North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO) Research Technology Agency (RTA) has developed the Science, Technology and Research Network (STARNET) to facilitate access by providing comprehensive and sophisticated searches to worldwide science, technology and research information.
STARNET serves as a virtual library to provide a "one stop" information resource for policy makers, program managers, scientists, engineers and researchers. Currently only non-classified information is included.
- STUDENTJOBS.gov is the one-stop portal for a range of employment opportunities for students within the Federal government, whether in high school, college, or graduate school.
- Uncle Sam--Who's Who in the Federal Government (Univ. of Memphis) : Offers links to biographies of the President, Vice President, Cabinet members, chairs of Congressional committees, administrators of selected federal agencies, members of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and Supreme Court Justices.
