COAR of the Community

Through the Community Outreach and Resources office, known around campus as COAR, you can volunteer at a number of community agencies. COAR's programs include building houses with Habitat for Humanity during spring break, tutoring and mentoring underprivileged children, and working with mentally challenged individuals and the elderly. COAR's Make a Difference Day brings over 120 children to campus to participate in service projects hosted by student organizations and residence halls. If you want to make someone's life better during your time at UMW, get involved with a COAR program.
