Take a Leap...Become a Leader

There are great opportunities to develop your leadership skills at UMW. Whether you already have the desire to become a leader at UMW, or whether you are looking to find your special niche on campus, you may be unsure of how to begin. The Office of Student Activities and Community Service can offer you guidance, resources, positive role models, support, a network of students who are already leaders, and advice on being involved. Other ways to get involved in leadership include:

• Serve as an officer for a club or organization.
• Run for elected positions on the Class Council, Student Government Association, Association of Residence Halls, Honor Council, and the Judicial Review Board.
• Become an Orientation Leader and participate in training, leadership seminars, and help lead the next crop of new students on campus!
