Proposals for brief papers are welcome to be submitted on this website. The central themes for the conference are Dante, Petrarch, Boccaccio, Vico, and Theology and Poetry. Abstracts can also be mailed to Symposium, ELS, Combs Hall, University of Mary Washington, Fredericksburg, VA, 22401. Abstracts are due by February 15, 2008. Please complete the online registration process by March 9 if you plan to attend.

Participants and a tentative program will be posted by February 20; acceptances will begin to be sent by January 30. Please register for the conference and for hotel acommodations on the links to your left.

In order to facilitate a rich and rewarding conversation about Mazzotta's work, all sessions will be plenary, in a round table format. Please plan for a presentation of between approximately 8 and 10 minutes to allow for adequate time for questions and discussion.

Thanks to the generous support of friends and colleagues, there is no charge for the Symposium. When completing the registration form, please let us know which events you plan to attend for planning purposes. Small travel subventions are available to defray hotel and travel costs.
