Marie McAllister, Associate Professor of English, holds a Ph.D. (1988) in English literature from Princeton University and a B.A. (1982) in English from Yale University. Her articles have been published in Eighteenth-Century Fiction, Eighteenth-Century Life, The Age of Johnson, and other collections, and she has presented more than 20 papers at scholarly conferences.

 

Dr. McAllister is a past president and executive board member of East-Central American Society for Eighteenth-Century Studies (EC/ASECS). In 2004, she received that organization’s Leland Peterson Award for professional service. She currently is a member of the Modern Language Association, American Society for Eighteenth-Century Studies, EC/ASECS, National Council of Teachers of English, and the American Association of University Professors
