“GLBTTQQIAAP” – ever seen an acronym like this before? It seems more like alphabet soup than an acronym.

The UMW GLBTTQQIAAP Cultural Celebration is an opportunity for many different people to come together and learn about this “alphabet soup” – the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, Transsexual, Queer, Questioning, Intersex, Ally, Asexual, Pansexual Community. This celebration aspires to promote unity in the community by demonstrating diversity as pertaining to sexual orientation, gender-identity, and more.

The James Farmer Multicultural Center and PRISM, People for the Rights of Individuals of Sexual Minorities, strive to teach tolerance and acceptance of each member of the community and seek through this celebration to educate about the different aspects of the community – including the role that allies play.

Please join the James Farmer Multicultural Center and PRISM as we celebrate and embrace differences and similarities within the UMW community as we learn and grow together!
