The University of Mary Washington has been named among the top 10 business programs among Virginia colleges and universities by Zippia, a website dedicated to helping recent college graduates with their careers. UMW ranked sixth on the list.
Zippia compared data on 38 institutions of higher learning in Virginia to determine which programs offer the best career opportunities for business majors. Using data from the National Center for Education Statistics and College Scorecard, Zippia analysts evaluated career results, including earnings and employment statistics, and information about admissions rates, graduation rates, cost of attendance and average amount of debt upon graduation.
“We are delighted to see the UMW College of Business recognized for the good work the faculty and staff are doing,” said Lynne Richardson, dean of the College of Business.
