Information Hotline

The University of Mary Washington "Information Hotline" can be accessed 24 hours a day by calling (540) 654-2424. The Hotline, which is maintained by the Office of News and Public Information, provides callers with recorded information concerning weather-related information about school closings/delays. Sports information is available through the Athletics Hotline at
(540) 654-1UMW (654-1869).

If weather conditions dictate a change in the university's schedule, the Vice President for Administration, Finance, and Legislative Affairs will make a decision and the Office of University Relations will post it on the "Information Hotline" by 6 a.m. on the date of the closing/delayed opening. A decision about evening class changes will be made by 3 p.m. on the day
in question.

The Free Lance-Star posts all area inclement weather closings/delays on its web site: http://fredericksburg.com/gtl/closings. The information also is posted on the UMW web site under "Campus Advisories" (top right of the home page).
