Print Quality Photos

The following are news photos that are large enough to print in newspapers and magazines. The collection includes speakers, performers, and events at the University of Mary Washington.

To download a photo, select its thumbnail which will load a 300 dpi JPEG version of it. Use the "Save As..." or "Save Picture As..." commands to save the photo to your computer. Please allow a few extra seconds for the larger photos to load, as they are often several megabytes in size. 	Gari Melchers Home and Studio to Host Holiday Tours November 24, 2008 Gari Melchers Home and Studio at Belmont will offer daily “Sights, Smells, Sounds and Stories: Holidays with the Melchers” 30-minute guided tours of the lavishly decorated Georgian house throughout December. The museum is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tours run on the hour, starting at 10:30 a.m. and are included in the regular admission price of $10 for adults, $9 for seniors and $5 for students.

	UMW Receives $1.1 Million Gift to Establish Dorsey Scholars Program November 19, 2008 The University of Mary Washington announces the Dorsey Scholars Program, which offers scholarships to select students from diverse backgrounds. The program has been established through a $1.1 million Centennial Campaign gift from Paul R. and Mary Ann Dorsey Judy of Northfield, Ill. She is a graduate of the class of 1954.
	Research Shows UMW Has An Economic Impact of $115.2 Million in the Region, $225.7 Million in the State November 14, 2008 An economic impact study commissioned by the University of Mary Washington shows that the institution and its employees, students, visitors and retirees spent $74.3 million within the Fredericksburg region in 2007, adding a total of $115.2 million to the local economy, supporting 1,014 non-university jobs and generating $24.9 million in new income to local residents.
