If crime occurs, it may be necessary for timely warnings to be issued to the University community about potential threats to students or employees. The University Police Department should be notified immediately of any potentially dangerous situation. The University Police Department will then contact the University Relations Office to prepare a release and information will be sent to the local media. The University Police Department will also send out a Crime Alert Message to all individual University e-mail accounts of students, faculty and staff.
