2008-09 Work Plan for the Information Technologies Business Office
- Procure technology for both UMW campuses – College of Arts and Sciences (Fredericksburg
Campus) and College of Graduate and Professional Studies (Stafford Campus).
- Provide administrative support for Vice President of Information Technology and CIO, the CIO's staff (Director Information Technologies Security, Senior Project Specialist), Executive Director of the Department of University Data Management, Manager of Enterprise Applications Infrastructure (who reports to the Executive Director), Director of Teaching and Learning Technologies (who reports to the Provost), Director of Networks and Communication Services, and Director of User Services.
- Provide day-to-day management and auditable accounting for budget and expenditures of all of the above technology-related units.
- Manage inventory of centrally-managed hardware and software (location and license-compliance).
- Manage telecommunications business operations.
- Provide administrative management and coordination of student workforce.
- Administer the academic and training web-based facility-reservation calendars.
