2008-09 Work Plan for the Enterprise Applications Infrastructure Unit
- Provide all aspects of system administration for a networked system of servers and related devices supporting the institution’s Banner administrative applications (including the Luminis portal) and course management software.
- Perform hardware and operating system upgrades or replacements from design through implementation; make persuasive, well-documented and understandable cases for the resources needed to keep the environment current and reliable.
- Collaboratively develop tools and procedures to assist in application development, testing and performance tuning.
- Maintain a library of current documentation for all aspects of administration for assigned systems.
- Provide system administration for other servers/platforms as assigned; develop a clearly documented plan for ongoing support of those systems, including assignment of responsibility for after-hours and on-call coverage that is communicated to the other DoIT divisions and to the Help Desk.
- Provide technical consultation and support to the community as needed/assigned.
