Students and employees may seek either informal or formal resolution.
To resolve your complaint informally, you may contact one of the University of Mary Washington's sexual harassment contact persons listed in the table below.
- These individuals are appointed each year .
- They receive training and provide confidential counseling about the University's policy, resources, and steps to resolve the harassment.

A formal complaint is processed through official channels and filed with the AA/EEO officer.
- It must be initiated in writing within one year from the date of the alleged harassment.
