Chapter 3: Working conditions
Access To Faculty Grievance Policy
Grievances not specifically covered under separate University policies
are complaints made by a faculty member concerning a decision, action,
or lack of action by a person or group of persons acting in an official
University capacity, which directly and adversely affects the professional
or personal well-being of the grievant and which can be corrected by
the University. Adjunct faculty have access to the Faculty Grievance
Policy, which is described in Section 4.5 of the Faculty
Handbook ("Faculty Grievance Policy").
[At its meeting on December 5, 1998 the Board of Visitors approved a
change to the Faculty Handbook so that part-time faculty are now covered
under the Faculty Grievance Policy.]
