Chapter 4: Campus Academic Resources

Disability Services

The Office of Disability Services is located in George Washington Hall, room 209. This office is responsible for providing services to students with disabilities as required by section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans with Disabilities Act (1990) to provide them with equal access to the University’s programs, housing, and activities. The Office is responsible for registering students who need accommodation of some sort. In the case of academic accommodations, faculty will be notified as to the adjustments needed to ensure equal access. More information about the Office and its programs is available in the Students with Disabilities - Handbook for Instructors (which is available from the Office).
