Office of Academic Services

The Office of Academic Services is located in George Washington Hall, room 203. The Office is the central source of information regarding academic rules and regulations and is responsible for publishing the Dictionary of Academic Regulations, an annual compendium of academic policies and procedures. The Dictionary can be found within the Academic Services section of the University’s Web site at http://www.umw.edu/acservices/default.php. The Office is also responsible for academic advising programs, especially the one for non-declared majors. It also handles the major declaration process, transfer credit evaluations, and the University’s free tutorial services.

The Office is responsible for four subsidiary offices: Career Services, Disability Services, International Programs, and the Bachelor of Liberal Studies Program. More information about each of these offices can also be found within the Academic Services section of the University’s Web site (http://www.umw.edu/acservices/default.php).
