Emergencies
All emergencies should be reported to the Information/Security Desk in the South Building or to security personnel in the North Building. In the event of a life-threatening situation, a member of the staff or a security officer will contact the appropriate county emergency service.
The CGPS Information/Security Desk phone number in the South Building is (540) 286-8000, and a member of the staff is on duty from 8:00 am to 6:30 pm Monday through Thursday, and 8:00 am to 6:00 pm on Friday. CGPS security officers may be contacted by calling (540) 286-8055—South Building—or (540) 286-8113—North Building. Security officers are instructed to return calls within 20 minutes when they are on duty—from 4:45 pm to 11:15 pm Monday through Friday, and from 7:45 am to 5:15 pm on Saturday. The buildings close at 10:00 pm Monday through Friday, and at 5:00 pm on Saturday.
