Fringe Benefits
The College pays social security benefits (OASDI and HI) for adjunct faculty and provides access to direct deposit of wages. Adjunct faculty who teach at least two courses may participate in one of a variety of tax-deferred supplemental retirement 403-B plans; plan details are available from the UMW Office of Human Resources. All faculty have access to the CGPS and Simpson libraries and their services, the University’s recreational facilities as determined by the Department of Physical Education, and discount purchasing on books by the University Bookstore. All University employees are eligible for membership in the Virginia Credit Union (VACU), which has a branch on Route 3 in Fredericksburg.
