Termination of Employment for Cause
An adjunct faculty member may be terminated for any of the following causes:
- Professional incompetence or lack of teaching effectiveness
- Willful failure to support and abide by the University of Mary Washington Honor Code
- Neglect of duty
- Serious misconduct
- Moral turpitude
- Physical incapacity or medical disability
The dean of the CGPS faculty is responsible for making the termination of employment decision, in consultation with the appropriate program director.
