Introduction

Adjunct faculty play a critical role at the University, particularly in light of the mission of the College of Graduate and Professional Studies (CGPS).  The College could not offer the number and variety of programs it does without the help of adjunct faculty.  Your understanding of our purpose and programs will contribute to your success as an instructor, and most importantly, to students’ learning.

This handbook is designed to provide a convenient reference for adjunct faculty members regarding programmatic and administrative policies and procedures at CGPS.  Please take the time to read this handbook as well as other relevant CGPS publications.  Your program director and the College’s administrative staff will be happy to answer to any questions you may have.

This handbook is revised and reorganized annually.  We welcome suggestions for improvement.  Please contact your program director or a member of the administrative staff if you have any recommendations related to the handbook.
