Step 1) Fill out the New Student Questionnaire

The deadline to fill out the New Student Questionnaire is January 4. You will receive a copy of it in your UMW email.

The choices you indicate on the Questionnaire will be used to determine your initial assignment to an academic advisor, but you are NOT committing to a specific major. Whenever possible, first-year advisors are assigned based on your area of academic interest. When we are unable to place you based on your primary area of interest please keep in mind that all advisors are given the support and materials to assist students in transition. Students will be able to view the name of their advisor in Banner (the University's web-based records system) by Orientation.
