English: Writing Skills for College

If you have not taken a college level English course recently it is a good idea to take one your first semester at UMW (Ex. ENGL 101, 202, or 205). This will help you adjust to college level writing. Almost every course you take in college will require writing skills and it is important to develop and refine these skills early. You are encouraged to utilize the Writing Center for help and to learn how to use the library for research purposes by visiting the Library Instruction and Information Literacy web site.
