Section 2: Governance
2.8 Subcommittees
If a standing committee or curriculum advisory committee cannot for practical reasons consider a matter under its purview, it may choose to form a subcommittee for the purpose of conducting its business. The subcommittee must have, as voting members, at least two members of the standing or curriculum advisory committee. Additional voting members of the subcommittee will be appointed by the standing or curriculum advisory committee to serve as ex officio members of the subcommittee. The chair must be a member of, and will be appointed by, the standing or curriculum advisory committee. The subcommittee will report directly to the committee that formed it. All current subcommittees’ charges, membership, officers, and terms must be reported to the FOC by using the Ad Hoc and Subcommittee form (see Appendix H) for posting on the University website and inclusion in the Summer Memo published by the Dean’s office.
