7.5 Publications
A number of publications are of particular interest to faculty. These include the Summer Memo (annually published by the Dean); AcademicCatalog (published every other year by the Office of Academic Affairs); the Dictionary of Academic Regulations (published annually by the Office of Academic Services); the Student Handbook (annual); University of Mary Washington Today (quarterly); Transitions (the President’s Message and Annual Report of Gifts); Meet the Faculty (an online guide listing full-time instructional and administrative faculty); The Grapevine and The Digest (periodical faculty/staff newsletters). Faculty members are encouraged to submit items of newsworthy professional activities to the Office of University Relations and Legislative Affairs. This Office also publishes the Media Resource Guide to Faculty Expertise designed to assist the news media in identifying and locating knowledgeable sources in a variety of areas. Items for the Bullet (weekly student newspaper) should be given directly to the newspaper staff at Seacobeck Hall.
