‘Great Lives’ lives: Popular lecture series returns with histories from Alexander the Great to Elvis

The “Great Lives: Biographical Approaches to History” lecture
series returns to campus this semester beginning Thursday, Jan. 20.
Sponsored by the Department of History and American Studies, the series
will examine the lives of historical figures ranging chronologically
from Alexander the Great to such modern glitterati as Jack and Jackie
Kennedy. Topics will include an array of characters as diverse as Muhammed,
Mozart, Eleanor of Aquitaine and Elvis Presley.
