Inclement Weather Policy
(Closing of the University)

Occasionally, inclement weather requires a change in CGPS's operating hours. In the event of a delayed opening or class cancellation, the UMW Office of University Relations and the News and Information Services staff is responsible for communicating this information to the University and the community.

UMW and CGPS emergency closing information is available 24 hours a day by calling the UMW Information Hotline at 540/654-2424. Individuals calling CGPS may be referred to the Information Hotline.

If CGPS is open and faculty are unable to meet their scheduled classes, faculty members should contact the receptionist at 540/286-8000 or Security at 540/286-8055 and ask the person or officer on duty to notify students accordingly.

Fredericksburg

WFLS - 1350 AM and 93.3 FM
WFVA - 1230AM
WBQB - 101.5 FM
WJYJ - 90.5 FM

Richmond

WRVA - 1140 AM
WRVQ - 94.5 FM

Northern Virginia

WTOP - 820 AM and 103.5 FM
