Advantages of completing an Associates Degree at a Virginia Community College
The University gives special admissions consideration to students completing the Associate degree program from one of Virginia's two-year public institutions. Any student earning an Associate of Arts, Associate of Science, or an Associate of Arts & Science in any major except General Studies will have completed most of the General Education requirements. - Patrick Henry C.C.: Associate of Arts & Sciences
- Piedmont Virginia C.C: Associate of Arts & Sciences
- Southside Virginia C.C.: Associate of Arts & Sciences
- Virginia Western C.C.: Associate of Arts & Sciences
- Wytheville C.C.: Associate of Arts & Sciences
- New River C.C.: Associate of Arts & Sciences
- Southwest Virginia C.C.: Associate of Arts & Sciences
- Virginia Highlands C.C.: Associate of Arts & Sciences
Students transferring in with an awarded Associates Degree are guaranteed junior standing (60 credits). Associates Degree must be earned before matriculating at UMW.
