Jackie St. Martin ’85 says that Cab Bennett was married in April to
a local television entertainment reporter in Las Vegas, where Cab has lived
for 15 years. The celebration was attended by several Mary Washington alumni
including Barry McCormick, Gordon “Chip” Wood, Dan Ratner ’87
and Todd Vecchio ’87.
Patti Covington Petrone still is in Florida. She is the financial systems
manager for the City of Orlando. R. Lee Wheless lives in Fredericksburg, where
he is a self-employed goldsmith and gemologist. He graduated – again
– from Mary Washington in May 2003 with a master’s degree in liberal
studies.
Ginny McNeill Poindexter sends kudos to Chris Mastal Winicki, who has been
very involved with a support group for military families. In addition to helping
others, Chris managed life with three boys while her husband was deployed.
Ginny is now senior trial counsel for St. Paul Travelers in Richmond. She
and her husband, Gordon, an editor for Style Weekly, have two daughters and
live in a 100-year-old house in the Fan District. She frequently runs into
Donna Metzger Lantagne and her family.
René Thomas-Rizzo ’87 dropped a line about several members of
our class, reporting that Dorothy Rounds Blagrove and husband Peter were expecting
a little boy. Rene was honored to be part of Marykate Behan Dougherty’s
wedding in October 2003.
Kathy Murphy Ramsey and husband Steve, as well as Helen Morrow Worst and husband
Jeremy also attended the wedding. Kathy, who lives in Connecticut, has two
boys who keep her very busy. Helen, who lives in Rockville, Md., works for
the Food and Drug Administration. Helen and Dorothy’s husbands work
for the same company.
Speaking of Connecticut, Deb Hass McKinney bumped into Lisa Harvey last winter
at a UConn Huskies women’s basketball game in Hartford, Conn. It turns
out that Lisa and Deb are both avid fans.
Irene Thomaidis Cimino and husband Bill took a fabulous trip
to Hawaii. Tracy Greener Hollan is teaching at daughter Reagan’s school
this year, and Ann Stack got married in July 2004. Lisa, Tracy, Rene and Ann
rented a Delaware beach house in June along with Jocelyn Piccone Allgood,
Stephanie Doswald Sebolt, Michelle Runge, Kristi Williams McCune and Brenda
Thier Evans to celebrate their collective 40th birthdays.
Mina Holden Horn and husband Todd ’84, who were staying nearby with
their children, Grayson, Silas and Scarlett, also joined in the week of fun.
Kathy Powers Cunius ’87 made a day trip from Connecticut to visit with
the crew and Kelly Suda White, who lives in nearby Salisbury, Md., dropped
by. Kelly, who now has two children, operates her own day care center.
