Kerry Ancowitz Murphy lives in Fredericksburg with husband Alex and baby Colyn Alexander. Sarah Smith Komssi is married and teaching autistic children in New Jersey. Brooke Kemp was married in May and after a honeymoon the Caribbean, settled in Leesburg, Va.

Jennifer Murray Greven and husband Greg were expecting a baby boy in June. Rob Sharp works for State Farm in Centreville, Va., and is engaged to Lynda McAuliffe ’02. They were planning a June wedding in Connecticut. Kelly Engel Boyd and husband John live in Virginia Beach, Va., with baby Gabriel. Michelle McCrystal was married in July; Elizabeth “Betsy” Burton was a bridesmaid. Michelle is a regional sales trainer for Forest Pharmaceuticals and living in New Jersey. Betsy is a teacher in Atlanta.

Kristen Bertini and Steve Donahoe became engaged last year at the site of their very first date, in Alexandria, Va. Kristen is a speech pathologist in Hagerstown, Md., and Steve is completing his law degree at the University of Pittsburgh. They were planning a May wedding. Eva Ross Ghiold and husband Matt were expecting their second daughter in June and are building a house in Richmond. Eva works in communications for Wyeth.

Stacey Ladd was married in September and lives in Massachusetts, where she teaches fifth grade. She earned a master’s degree in elementary education from Framingham State. Nick Bondurant is married and living in Maryland.

Henry Odom is a proud uncle; Henry’s brother, John Odom ’01, and wife Melissa Pelletier ’01 had a baby. Henry completed a management training program in Germany and lives in North Carolina, but plans to return to Europe and live there permanently.

Eve Sledjeski married Tom Dinzeo, a fellow Kent State University student, in June. Rachael Dorsey lives in New York and works for the Contemporary Arts Center. She is planning a May 2005 wedding to her high school sweetheart. Chris Boon is rumored to be working as a DJ. Ryan Wellner works at Kings Point and his business, Celtic Lacrosse, is running a successful lacrosse camp. Natalie Joy Johnson is starring in an off-Broadway show and lives in New York with Lisbeth White, a certified Pilates instructor.

Paul Dunford ’01 works at Columbia Hospital in New York and attends classes at Columbia University to prepare for graduate school. Lillian Pitts earned a master’s degree in public administration in environmental science and policy at Columbia, and has returned to the Washington, D.C., area.

Kara Davis moved in with Daniela Kelley after Ellen Perry moved out. Daniela is a planning editor for Fox News in Washington, D.C. Erik and Andrea Wrigley Levy live in Clifton, Va. Erik is a software architect and Andrea recently received a master’s degree in social work from Catholic University. Emily Wilkinson Roberts teaches music at Trinity School in Ellicott, Md., performs in the area, and is assistant director of a performing arts camp.

Nichole Gubitosi left her job in Internet publishing to pursue a job as a recruiter. Mike Harris now resides in Reston, Va. Suzy Hayes Brown was married in November 2003 and has built a home in the Fredericksburg area. Elaine Murray is a nurse and recently bought a house in the city of Baltimore. Irene Schinkel Bristow teaches second grade in Fairfax County, teaches violin lessons, and started art classes at her church. Lukasz Pinkowski is still working with his band, Don’t Panic.

Jessica Cebula graduated from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) in May and began her residency in anesthesiology. Hattie “Liz” Carroll Ratliff is working on an Ed.S. in counseling, while husband Dan attends UMDNJ School of Osteopathic Medicine.

John Brauer ’01 has returned from Greece. Kerry Layne spent a year of service in Madagascar and now lives in Charlotte, N.C. Sarah Crown is in Honduras with the Peace Corps. Duncan McLellan is in his final year of seminary training; ordination and first call are scheduled for May.

Brian Sweet and wife Christie live in Sevierville, Tenn., and work as house parents in an orphanage. Casey Gallant has returned to her hometown of Brewster on Cape Cod, Mass. She markets and designs for her father’s jewelry store. Emilee Harren lives in St. Cloud, Minn., and is an attorney for environmental litigation. Missy Schmidt is rumored to be living in Madrid.

Johanna Klein married her high school sweetheart in July and is working toward her doctorate in physical therapy at Shenandoah University. Janet Emery is working in historic preservation in Washington, D.C. Christine Jeffrey went on an African safari with her sister after graduation, then bought a car and traveled the country. She’s now living in Connecticut and recently obtained her real estate license. In her spare time, she’s a girls’ lacrosse referee.

Erin Dempsey relocated from Washington, D.C., to Summit, N.J., to work for the Chubb Co. She proudly completed her first half-marathon in the spring with Mariah Butler and Jenny Maher ’01. Mariah graduated from the University of Dayton Law School and passed the Ohio bar exam. She practices criminal, family and juvenile law for a firm in Kettering, Ohio, and recently completed the Chicago Marathon.

Melanie Hayes lives in Washington, D.C., and works for Bank of America as a portfolio analyst. She’s a member of the D.C. Junior League and has traveled to her favorite place, Hawaii, twice since graduation.

Leah Phillips spent time teaching chemistry and is now working on a master’s degree in education from U.Va. She was set to run a half marathon in the summer and enjoys playing recreational soccer. She also was planning a summer wedding to Jeremy Powers ’01.


Kristin Carbone lives and works in Arlington, Va. She and Nathan Powers recently returned from an extended stay in Madrid.

I am still enjoying life in sunny Orlando and working for Met Life Financial Services. I try to see my best friend, Kristin Nuedling ’01 as much as possible, since she moved across town. We also attended the graduation of Katie Gottsch ’98, who received a master’s degree in human resources in May from Rollins College.
