The purpose of training is to orient faculty and staff on procurement policies, to ensure compliance with state and
University regulations and to maximize the efficiency of UMW Business
and Finance Operations.
STEPS TO TRAINING- View the Training Calendar for the two classes listed below. These classes are required prior to obtaining a Small Purchase Credit Card (SPCC) or eVA system access.

Purchasing with eVA and the Small Purchase Credit Card : A two part training class, taught by partnership between Purchasing and Training, Evaluation and System Support. Both sessions are required prior to eVA or SPCC access.
eVA is a web-based e-Procurement tool that was designed for, and is used by, all agencies in the Commonwealth of Virginia . It is designed to facilitate, integrate and streamline the entire procurement process from consumer to supplier and back.

The Small Purchase Credit Card (SPCC) is a payment tool that is used in coordination with eVA. Learn how to properly use your SPCC to effectively make small purchases for goods and services while adhering with state and University regulations and policies.
