Eligibility

Criteria for IM Sports participation...

• Current UMW students, faculty, and staff are eligible to participate in IM Sports programs. 
  
  
• UMW alumni and members of the outside community are not eligible to participate.   Teams with these individuals on their rosters will be immediately disqualified from play.
  
  
• All players must complete the information on the team roster prior to beginning play.  Players without complete information will be listed as ineligible to compete.
  
  
• Teams competing with an ineligible player on the team roster will forfeit all matches in which the ineligible player has competed.
  
  
• Participants may compete on one single sex and one co-ed team for the same sport.
  
  
• Teams may add players to their roster up to the second game of league play.  Once the second game has taken place, no additions may be made to the roster for the remainder of the season. Additions to the roster to due to injury will be considered on an individual basis by the IM Sports staff.
  
  
• Only two current or former intercollegiate athletes may participate on an intramural team in the same or related sport. Exceptions may be made by the Office of Campus Recreation should the demand for a special league or division exist.
