ATTENTION Spring 2010 ba/bs degree candidates:
March 2010
All degree candidates for this May should be double-checking the Degree Evaluation on Banner by Generating a New Evaluation. Degree Evaluations include in-progress courses and assume successful completion; if any part of your evaluation says 'N-Not Met" you should see the Assistant Registrar for Degree Audit in Lee 206 immediately. If you know that you will not graduate in May or your plans have changed, you should also notify this office to be removed from the list and added to Summer or Fall lists. May completers who are not planning on attending the commencement ceremony should notify Dean Barra in writing to request graduation in absentia. As you are planning your "Dead Week" activities, please remember to leave a contact phone number with the Assistant Registrar. If there are problems prohibiting your graduation, we will be notifying you by phone or as a last resort your college email on Wednesday of "Dead Week".
JANUARY 2010
All students who expect to graduate in May should be monitoring their Degree Evaluation as they make changes to their Spring 2010 schedules during the Drop/Add Period. It is very important to keep the Assistant Registrar for Degee Audit, Ms Stewart, up-to-date on what you are doing particularly if you are registering for an individual study or internship as these have extended registration time. It is also important to notify Ms Stewart if you plan to delay your graduation for one reason or another, failing to make the Registrar's Office aware of this could delay your registration for an upcoming term.
September 2009
All BA/BS students who submitted a Degree Application for Spring 2010 should have received the degree evaluation/verification packet in their campus box and returned the sign verification form to the Office of the Registrar by September 4. If you submitted a late degree application, received your packet late or haven't met with your advisor to review your evaluation, you should be doing that as soon as possible and returning the signed form to us. Even if you plan on delaying your graduation to a time later than Spring 2010, you must complete the verification process and return the form. If you received an evaluation for a major that you do not plan to complete, please contact Mrs. Hockaday in Academic Services to officially drop the major.
Be reminded that you can review your degree progress anytime by logging into Banner, selecting Degree Evaluation and then "Generate a New Evaluation". The Degree Evaluation is an important tool when used in conjunction with your Academic Transcript and advisor consultation.
You will find additional information concerning your degree requirements when you click on the link Degree Completion Requirements on the Registrar's page . A reminder list is available for you. You'll want to be sure you know all the requirements, since ultimately the satisfactory completion of all requirements for your degree lies with you.
