GroupWise Down Time

Information Edited: 4:25, June 16 - The GroupWise server has been restored. You should not experience outages with the GroupWise client, however you may experience intermittent outages for a period of time if you are using Webmail.

In order to perform a mandatory upgrade, GroupWise will brought down for a period of time. We plan to bring the GroupWise server down at 4:00 PM on Monday, June 16, and anticipate that it will be down for potentially up to four hours.

The Webmail server will be down for a longer period of time than the GroupWise server; this downtime will also begin at 4:00 PM on Monday. In lieu of Webmail, you may use the GroupWise client or an IMAP client to access your email. If you would like to install GroupWise on your home computer, please see: download.umw.edu.

After this upgrade, it may be necessary for you to delete the items in your Frequent Contacts. To do so:

  • Go to the Address Book.
  • Select your Frequent Contacts.
  • Select all of the items.
  • Click on the delete button.
