Managing Letter Grades and Point Values
Within the Blackboard 8 Grade Center, a grade schema is used to (1) convert a numeric grade within a percentile range to a letter grade; and (2) to assign a point value to each letter grade. For example, by default, a grade within the range of 97% to 100% is assigned a letter grade of A+; the A+ is assigned a point value of 98.5. Click here to view the Blackboard default grade values.
If desired, the default grade values can be changed within the default schema, or new grade schemas can be created and applied to specific classes. Noted below are links to instructions for accessing, modifying, and creating grade schemas.
