Forwarding Email from Live@EDU to another Mailbox

 

 

Important – You must use Internet Explorer or Mozilla FIREfox as the browser when setting up forwarding rules! THe following steps CANNOT BE performed on A MACINTOSH COMPUTER because the required options will not be displayed.

1. Access the Exchange Labs login screen:  https://exchangelabs.com/owa

2. Login using your Live@EDU login (e.g.  netid@mail.umw.edu)

3. On the task bar, click Mail.

4. Select Options in the link found to the right.

5. From the options listed, select Organize E-mail.

6. Under the Inbox Rules tab, click on New.

7. In the pop-up window, you'll see two drop down menus.

8. From the first menu, "When the message arrives, and: ", select Apply to all messages.

9. From the second menu, "Do the following:", select "Redirect the message to.."

The Address Book window will open. (Note: If the Address Book window fails to open, click on the option, "Select one").

10. In the lower portion of the Address Book window, within the To field, enter the mailbox to which you want to forward your e-mail.

11. Click ok when finished and click save.

12. The new rule will display in the rule window.

Note:  While the "Redirect" rule sends email to the alternate account, a copy of the email remains in the Live account. To avoid filling the Live mailbox, make it a practice to periodically delete the mail out of your Live account.
