Student E-Mail: Setting Up the Forwarding Rule
Students may use UMW EagleMail to forward e-mail to another account. To set
up this "forwarding rule," log into http://eaglemail.umw.edu
and follow the directions below.
Step 1 - Once you have logged into EagleMail, click on the
button for "Options" at the top
.
It is not labeled "Options" but once you put your mouse over the buttons
at the top, you will see a description named "Options."

Step 2 - Once you are in "Options", look for the link at the top labelled "MailBox Management."

Step 3 - Once you are in "MailBox Management", you will see an area to "Forward all new messages". In this area you can choose to have all your email messages forwarded to another email account. Click on the radio button labeled "Yes" for the top option and your emails will be forwarded to the address you specify below in the "Forward to:" area. If you would like to keep a copy of the email in your umw.edu account, then click on the radio button labeled "Yes" in the "Keep Copy:" area. (NOTE: If you choose to keep a copy on EagleMail, remember to log in occasionally to purge old messages. These copies are not automatically purged and DO count toward your 15MB limit.)

After you have finished configuring your Forward rule, click "Save." Your rule has now been saved. At this point, any e-mail messages being sent to your UMW e-mail account will be forwarded to the account you specified above.
If you require assistance with this or other technical issues, call the Help Desk at 540.654.2255.
