Step 9 - At the next screen, you need to enter in a number. There are three numbers available to you, and you may use any one of them. They are: 371-1600, 371-3898, and 371-3686 . I chose 371-1600 but you can enter any one of them. For long distance or toll connections, place "1540" before the numbers (dashes are not needed). Click "Next" after you have entered the number. (NOTE: To include all three numbers (one plus two alternates), you will need to complete this installation, and then change the properties. Instructions for this are at the end of this tutorial.)

Step 10 - The following screen will ask you for your "User name" and "Password". For "User name" enter your Network User ID including the full context WITHOUT the leading period. Your password is your Network Password. Below is an example of a person named "someone" and the corresponding context. The three check boxes below these entries may be set as you prefer. Below is the suggested way of setting those parameters. Click "Next" after you are done. NOTE: The final context area is still "mwc," in spite of the UMW name change.

Step 11 - The next screen is the final screen. You have the option to choose"Add a shortcut to this connection to my desktop," which is up to you. Once you have made your decision, click "Finished". If you have chosen to show your connection on the desktop, an icon with your connection name will be on your desktop.

Step 12 - In order to connect to the internet, you can either click on the icon on the desktop (if you chose that option) or go to "Start", "Connect To", and click on the connection you want to connect. You may be asked to enter your "User name" and "Password". Following the same procedure as indicated above to enter the required information. To disconnect, you can either click on the same icon you clicked on to establish the connection and then click "Disconnect" or if you can find the appropriate icon on your toolbar, then right click the icon and choose "Disconnect".
