On-Campus Connections: configuring your system for the network
MAC OSX
TIP: Before attempting a connection to the UMW Network make sure you have been given a NetID and password.
You can follow the directions here to configure your Mac OS X computer for DHCP (a network protocol required for computers to connect to the UMW network).
Step 1 - Click on the Apple Menu, select "Location," From the fly-out menu, select "Network Preferences."

Step 2 - From the menu labelled "Show," select "Built-in Ethernet".

Step 3 - From the menu labelled "Configure," select "Using DHCP".

Step 4 - Click "Apply Now." The Network panel will now be
filled in with configuration information. Once the information is on the screen,

If you still cannot connect, check to see that your cables are all appropriately connected, try again, and if needed contact the Help Desk at 654-2255.
