VPN: Virtual Private Network

off-campus access for faculty and staff with DSL and cable internet connections

Off campus file access through Virtual Private Networking (or VPN) is available for use by faculty and staff only. VPN is available for those with Cable or DSL broadband Internet service who do not use the UMW dialup numbers to connect to the Internet. VPN provides an alternative to UMW's dialup numbers, allowing faculty and staff to access files on the campus network while off-campus while utilizing a high-speed connection.

Click on the links to the right for instructions on how to setup VPN based on your off-campus computer operating system. You will be prompted for your NetID and password.
