CONFIGURING FTP SOFTWARE TO ACCESS THE UMW SERVERS

One option for connection to the University of Mary Washington network servers (sometimes referred to as the "H:" or "Home" drive, or the "S:" or" Shared" drive), is by using FTP ("File Transfer Protocol") software. There are several packages available and most are quite similar. NOTE: You must be on campus and connected to the Network, or be connected to the Internet prior to attempting to FTP to the University Network.
