We suggest that students bring a deskjet printer, the most appropriate choice for dorm rooms, because they are less expensive, require less space, are available 24/7, and use less electricity than laser printers. If you don't already own a printer, you may want to check the UMW Bookstore for the brands of ink cartridges that are normally carried, and take this into consideration before deciding what brand of printer to purchase.

If you are not going to bring a printer, fee based printing is available in most of the public labs across campus. Printers in these facilities are high-end laser printers. Students pay $.10 per page to print. Your EagleOne card is used to pay for the documents that you print in these public facilities.
