Revise the article about Fredericksburg using the instructions below.

  1. Download practiceE.doc.

    • If you are using:
    • Save the file to your desktop.

  2. Open practiceE.doc.

  3. Spell Check the document and correct any misspellings.

  4. Go to the paragraph that begins with "Most of Fredericksburg's appeal . . .". Find a synonym for the word "related"; replace it.

  5. Use the Help Feature to look up information about how to use the Find and Replace feature.

  6. Use the Find and Replace feature to find all occurences of Washington, and replace it with Washington, D.C. where appropriate.

  7. There is an incomplete sentence in the document. Use the Find option to search for "One can find many things to do in the area, including:" Once found, delete this item.

  8. Save practiceE.doc.

  9. Click the View Results link below to check the accuracy of your results by comparing them to a correctly completed practiceE.doc file.

  10. Close practiceE.doc.

  11. Remove practiceE.doc from the desktop. You will not need this file again.
