1. What are the hours of Operation?
Monday thru Friday 9:00 am – 9:00 pm
Saturday 9:00 am – 6:00 pm / Sunday 11:00am - 6:00pm
2. Who can reserve a court and play?
The University Tennis Center is open to all patrons, students, members, and non-members. All patrons must sign in at the front desk. Court time can be reserved for 60 minutes (one hour - minimum time), 90 minutes (one hour and a half), and 120 minutes (two hours - maximum time). The University Indoor Tennis Center is also ADA compliant.
* Non-Member court reservations may be made 3 DAYS IN ADVANCE. UTC Members can reserve courts with NO restrictions *
* Courts may NOT be reserved for any lessons (i.e. private, semi-private, group, etc...) unless lessons are taught by the Indoor Tennis Center Director and his Staff *
3. How do I become a member?
You may call us at 540-654-2482 to learn more about becoming a member of the University of Mary Washington Indoor Tennis Center. We have memberships available for family, individuals, and junior players.
4. What are some of the benefits of becoming a member?
As a member you have priority when you RSVP court time, reduced court fee, and the option to reserve contract time.
5. Can I use a Ball Machine?
Patrons are not allowed to bring in their own ball machines and the University Tennis Center does not rent ball machines.
6. What type of shoes should I wear?
Regulation tennis shoes must be worn on the courts at all times, NO black sole shoes or track/running shoes allowed at any time.
7. Is there a Food and Beverage policy?
Eating on the courts is prohibited. Any drinks brought on the court must be in a spill proof container and approved. Alcoholic beverages are prohibited
8. Do you offer Lessons and/or Tennis Camps?
The University Indoor Tennis Center Director of Tennis, Mr. Don Paitrick has well over 20 years of experience and offers Private, Semi-private, and Group Lessons for all age appropriate individuals. We also have Elementary, Middle, and High School camps. Lessons at the Indoor Tennis Center can ONLY be taught by the Director and his Staff.
9. Where is the Indoor Tennis Center Located?
The University of Mary Washington Indoor Tennis Center is located at 1200 Hanover Street, Fredericksburg, Virginia 22401. The Indoor facility is located one block away from the University of Mary Washington Fredericksburg Campus at the end of College Avenue.
10. What are the Court usage Rates/Fees?
