Align Data
The alignment functions contain options to configure the position of text within a cell. Use alignment to determine the following:
- The horizontal and vertical alignment of data in selected cells.
- The orientation of data in selected cells.
- Whether long cell entries should be wrapped within the cell (Wrap Text).
- Whether text size should shrink to fit the column width (Shrink to Fit).
- If selected cells should be merged to form a single cell (Merge Cells).
- The direction of the text (left to right).
To align data within a cell:
- Navigate to the Alignment and Spacing Group.

- Select the cell(s) to configure.

- Select the appropriate alignment or click on the arrow in the lower right hand corner for more options.

TO MERGE AND CENTER TEXT
To center a title across the text, do the following:
- Select cells to merge and center.

- Select Merge Cells in the Alignment and Spacing Group.


To wrap text within a cell, do the following:
- Select cells in which to wrap text.

- Select the Wrap Text icon on the Alignment and Spacing Group.

To slant text, do the following:
- Select cells in which you want to slant text.

- Go to the Slant Text Icons on the and Spacing Alignment Group.

- Select the direction in which you want to slant the text.
