To add page numbers to your presentation:
1. On the Insert Tab in the Text Group click on the Slide Number icon.
2. The Header and Footer dialog box will appear.

3. Click in the box next to Slide Number if you want to display slide numbers.
4. Click in the box next to Data and Time if you want to display the Date and Time the presentation was last worked on or click in the circle next to Fixed if you do not want the Date and Time to be updated.
5. Click in the box next to Don't show on title slide if you do not want these features to be visible on the Title Slide.
6. Click Apply to apply to the current slide or click Apply to All to apply to all of the slides in the presentation.
To add a footer to your presentation:
Note: PowerPoint does not offer a Header option.
1. Click on the Header and Footer icon in the Text Group.
2. The Header and Footer Dialog Box will appear.
3. Click in the box next to Footer and type your footer in the space provided.
4. Click Apply to put on the current slide only or click on Apply to All if you want the footer to appear on all of the slides in the presentation.
