Adding Pages

  • Login to the Contribute Site Management Tools page (click here to go to the tutorial on how to access the Site Management Tools).

  • In the My Departments listing, find the appropriate department and click on Site Structure.

  • Once you have reached the Site Management Tools page, under the green plus sign, click on Add a New Page.

  • Choose where you would like to add this new page.

  • Now you need to enter in the page information. This is not the page content but just site structure information.

    • Title – the name to display on menus and breadcrumbs

    • Page Type – Fixed Width Department Breadcrumb, Department Sidenav, or Sidenav with Editable Right, small

    • Main Description – brief summary of what is in this new section

    • Keywords – words you would search for if you were doing a Google search

    • Active Setting – choose where to have the page active or inactive

    • Harvest Content From – location from which any information is gathered

    • Include in A-Z Index? – yes or no

    • A-Z Index Description – description if section is included in the index

    • A-Z Index Aliases – title and short description

  • Click Submit.

  • You will now find yourself back to the Site Management Tools page.

  • To change or add content to the page you have just created, click on the name of the site in the upper right-hand corner of your Contribute Window then navigate to the page itself. Click the Edit Page button edit page button.
