Many people consider the World Wide Web and the Internet to be one and the same, when in reality the Internet is made up of several different components. Don't forget that most email uses the Internet, as does newsgroups, listservs, FTP, Telnet, etc. Most things dealing with the Internet these days can be accomplished with a web browser, the two most common being Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator.
