Admissions Plans and Deadlines

FRESHMAN

REGULAR ADMISSION is the plan under which most freshmen enter UMW. Regular Admission is open to high school students who apply for admission by February 1.

HONORS ADMISSION is an early notification program for high school seniors with exceptionally strong academic records. Honors Admission is open to high school students who apply for admission by January 15.

Freshman candidates are usually notified of the admission decision by April 1 and those who are admitted have until May 1 to confirm their space in the class.

TRANSFER

Transfer students applying to the BA/BS Degree program are welcome to apply to the University for either the fall or the spring semester.

FALL SEMESTER: Students interested in transferring for the fall semester should apply before March 1.

SPRING SEMESTER: Students interested in transferring for the spring semester should apply before November 1.
